Stephens House Tour

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Time: 10AM-1PM
645 E. Morongo Road

The Stephens House (1949), a Class 1 historic site, is an early example of modernist residential architecture by the firm of Clark & Frey. For students of both American popular culture and architecture, the house is particularly noteworthy as it appeared in the September 1955 issue of House Beautiful where it helped introduce the idea of “The Family Room” to post-war America.
