PSPF hosted two free lectures to an enthusiastic crowd at the Palm Springs Woman's Club. Attendees received a free copy of PSPF's 2015 tribute journal Sentinels in Stone: Palm Springs' Historic Tennis Club Neighborhood and Its Iconic Walls. GaryLost, Saved & Endangered: Modernist Architecture in Palm Springs presented by PSPF board member Gary Johns. Always entertaining and informative, the lecture was replete with amusing anecdotes and rarely seen vintage photos. Steven KeylonLandscapes for Leisure presented by PSPF board member Steven Keylon. Through examples designed in the Coachella Valley from the 1920s through the 1960s, Keylon explored the landscapes and practitioners responsible for the evolution of modernist landscape design, within the broader context of 20th century modernism.
